Editorial Policy
Last reviewed August 8, 2026
PDC's usefulness depends on being accurate about what is known and honest about what is not.
Sourcing
Where a claim depends on an external fact, PDC cites a primary source such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Reserve, the IRS for tax matters, or a provider's own official page for its product terms.
- PDC does not invent studies, statistics, quotations, regulations or source URLs.
- Provider figures that cannot be verified against the provider's official page are omitted rather than guessed.
- Illustrative figures are labelled as example data.
Review and dating
Every article shows its author, published date and last reviewed date. Dates are updated only when the content is actually reviewed or changed; they are never refreshed automatically to appear current.
Independence
Educational content is written before, and independently of, any provider relationship. A commercial relationship never changes a recommendation, a comparison or the ordering of content.
Corrections
If you find an error, email hello@personaldebtconsolidation.com with the page and the problem. Substantive corrections are made on the page and reflected in its last reviewed date.
This policy is written in plain language to describe how PDC actually operates today. It has not been reviewed by an attorney. PDC intends to obtain professional legal and privacy review before significant traffic or any collection of personal stories.
